CPF file (EDI via SFTP)

A daily updated and DPDgroup issued file that consists of all Parcelshops in the entire DPD network

  1. Introduction

    The CPF file is a daily updated flat EDI file is available on sftp.dpd.be . Access credentials can be given upon request via it.cs@dpd.be

    Up to date parcelshop listing is mandatory to guarantee correct delivery. The information used to create a parcelshop shipment can be maximum 24 hours old. Shipments to closed, moved or invalid pickup points will cause forced unwanted re-routings or returns to sender.

    The CPF file needs to pulled and renewed from your end automatically at 0600 AM CET every day. Manual updates are not allowed.

  2. Interpretation of the CPF file

    Shortened version of the CPF file, including only 3 parcelshops instead of +45000

     

    The header, definitions lines and end line will be the same in the complete CPF file, it will however include many more repetitions of PUDOGENERALINFO, PUDOADDRESS, PUDOHOURS, PUDODOWNTIME and PUDODOWNTIMELINE. One set for each parcelshop. (Below is an extract of the file from 21/02/2020)

  3. Closed shop interpretation

    Following examples will help understanding which Shop ID’s are valid to use. Remeber that the CPF will change daily and announced closing can be suddenly activated or suspended

     

    Example 1: Shop who has no forecasted closure

    • This parcelshop is always a valid selection.
    • One day later on it may announce a closing period of which we don’t know yet.
      • If so, with a following daily update, this announced downtime will be in the CPF file. More specific: a PUDODOWNTIMELINE will be added to the parcelshop (example 2 & 3)


    Example 2: Shop with forecasted closure 20/02/2020 until 21/02/2020 (2 days)

    • The parcelshop closes 20/02/2020 for 2 consecutive days
    • It may be displayed and selected as a pickup point for shipments at latest 05/02/2020
    • From 06/02/2020 on, it may not appear on any list as an possible parcelshop for any reason.
    • From 22/02/2020 0h00 it again becomes a valid parcelshop to display and ship to
    • In a next update from 22/02/2020 0h00 on, the PUDODOWNTIMELINE will disappear.


    Example 3: Shop with forecasted closure 15/02/2020 until 01/03/2020 (16 days)

    • The parcelshop closes 15/02/2020
    • It may be displayed and selected as a pickup point for shipments at latest 31/01/2020
    • From 01/02/2020 on, it may not appear on any list as an possible parcelshop for any reason.
    • From 02/03/2020 0h00 it again becomes a valid parcelshop to display and ship to
    • In a next update from 02/03/2020 0h00 on, the PUDODOWNTIMELINE will disappear.
